The Laser Photon is one of the lightest two-skin backpacking tent commercially available. With a packed weight of just 790g and the same shape and dimensions of the Laser Competition, user comfort is not compromised. New fabrics and pegs create the bulk of the weight saving after painstaking research by Terra Nova. The new Titanium skewer weighs just 1g. In another first for Terra Nova the Laser Photon features a silicon coated groundsheet, which allows lighter weight fabrics to be used and still maintain water repellant performance. The Laser Photon pitches flysheet first and the inner can be left connected, so it is exceptionally quick to erect. The transverse porch creates more usable space than a longitudinal porch and provides excellent shelter from the wind as well as a large entrance.
