A waterproof-breathable shell in Nanolite ripstop fabric that weighs about what most ultralight windbreakers do! Isotope fits in a jersey pocket, hydration pack or clips onto a harness without bulk or annoying weight. Features include a drawcord hood, a DWR, taped seams, and two zippered pockets.

A single pull elastic drawstring at the neck of the Sierra Designs Isotope can be used to cinch the face opening smaller.
The front closure of the Sierra Designs Isotope rain jacket features a lightweight zipper and a storm flap which is secured over the zipper with 4  hook and loop fasteners.
