Fling tent

MSR Fling tent:
additional photos of tent body

MSR Fling : with model for scale

MSR Fling : detail of mesh panel in door

Photo above shows the MSR Fling with 5'11" model.  The Fling is shown with the ridge support pole in place and the side vents staked out.

The front door of the MSR Fling has a fabric panel which can be unzipped and rolled down to provide ventilation through the mesh panel window. In photo above, the fabric panel is shown rolled down (blue arrow), and the mesh panel of the window is zipped shut (green arrow).

MSR Fling : rear view

MSR Fling : side vent staked out

The photo above shows a rear view of the MSR Fling with the ridge support pole in use and the side vents staked out.

Attached guy out loops on each side of the Fling allow the vents to be held open with a single stake per side. A mesh panel runs the length of the tent under the overhang.

MSR Fling : without ridge support pole MSR Fling : without ridge support pole
The ridge support pole can be removed to save weight when a free standing setup is not required (shown in photo). A guy line at each end of the tent must be staked out to keep the Fling's shape when the ridge support pole is not used. Photo above shows the MSR Fling set up without the ridge support pole.  Both ends of the tent have been staked out to keep its shape, and the front door is pictured with the fabric panel zipped shut.

MSR Fling : packed and held by model
Photo above shows the MSR Fling packed into its stuff sack and held by 5'6" model.
