Warranty: 3-years.  The Zipka is guaranteed for 3 years against all faults in materials or manufacture.  Exclusions from the guarantee: normal wear and tear, modification or alterations, incorrect storage, damage caused by accidents, by negligence, or by use for which the product was not intended.

Angle adjustment: Picture A to the left shows the Zipka LED headlamp adjusted on the lower part of the forehead so the beam is directed down.  Picture B shows the Zipka placed on the upper part of the forehead so the beam is directed forward or slightly up.

Retractable Reel

The Zipka features a retractable nylon cord that is tensioned by a coil spring in the rear housing.  The nylong cord is not elastic (it does not catch in your hair the way a rubber band can).  The coil spring tensions the cord to provide a snug (but not overly tight) fit.  This allows for a variety of placement options for the Zipka (see photos at right).

Note: The Zipka is not intended for use in harsh environments (caving, diving...), as getting mud or sand in the reel can permanently damage it.

Safety note: The Zipka is not recommended for children as the cord can pose a risk of strangulation.  The cord is designed to break free of the reel around 20 kg (44 lbs) of pressure.
