FAQ

• What is an “Authorization”?

  An authorization of your credit / debit card is a temporary “hold” on funds from your account. It will show as a pending transaction on your credit card statement.

• How much is the Authorization for??

  For US Customers this amount will not exceed $2.00 USD.

  For International Customers this amount will not exceed $6.00 USD

• Is this an additional fee?

  No, you will not be charged any more than your original invoiced total. Moontrail will not collect the “Authorization Test” charge.

• Why perform an “Authorization Test” charge?

  Once a customer verifies the amount we authorized, it proves to us that you are in fact the cardholder.

• When does the authorization amount get released from the credit / debit card?

  This depends on your individual credit card issuing bank. On average this period varies from from 48 hours to 1 week. The authorization amount will automatically be removed from your pending transactions in a few days.

• Do I have to do this everytime I order from Moontrail?

  No, this is a one time process. Any future orders from Moontrail will not require an "Authorization Test."

How to check

Once we have your permission to perform the "Authorization Test" you will need to:

1. Check your online credit/debit card statement OR Contact your credit/debit card company by phone to determine the authorized amount.
2. Reply with the transaction amounts. We will handle any currency conversion.

What happens next?

Once we have verified the amounts are correct, we will process the order by the next business day.
