Note: The two photos immeadiately below show the new features.
Image above shows 3 green arrows which point
to the new reflectors that come standard with all Akto tents after 2006. There
are two reflectors on the back of the Akto in the same place as the two
front refelectors shown above.
The current Akto models also feature a zipper
flap which runs the length of the main zipper opening and extends up
underneath the vent (indicated with green line above). Close up image shows
the zipper well hid under the new zipper flaps. Zipper flap completley
covers the zipper.
Images below are of the pre-2006 model.
Besides the differences indicated above, the images below are identical to the current Akto model.
The Hilleberg Akto is pictured at left with
a 5'11" model. The Akto is an exoskeleton tent that is set up with the
poles in the outer tent (fly). The inner tent is attached to the fly
on the inside. Tent is pictured at left in this full set-up, with the
inner tent and fly set up as one unit.

the full set-up, click here.
The inner tent can be set up separately to be used in warmer
conditions. To set up the inner tent separately, you need 2 pole holders (sold separately) and 4 guy lines to keep the inner tent
erect. The pole is run through the elastic suspension loop that normally
attaches the inner tent to the outer tent.
Image at left shows a model holding the packed Hilleberg Akto tent
with all of its accessories in one hand. In the other hand is
a standard 1 gallon jug filled 3" with water (which weighs the
same as the packed Akto with all accessories).
Red color of stuff sack is same color of fly of red Akto.
