mummy style bag uses a hip length zipper with draft tube and synthetic
Polarguard 3D insulation.
The Kelty Light Year 3D 45 includes a storage sack and a
stuff sack for the bag. The gallon jug pictured in photo contains
an amount of water which is equivalent to the weight of the bag and stuff
sack (the jug is filled to 1.75" deep).
The features pictured below are identical
on the Kelty Light Year 3D 25 and the Light Year 3D 45. The Light
Year 3D 25 is pictured below.
The Kelty Light Year 3D 45 uses a double sided locking zipper
with a hook and loop fastener at the top to keep bag from opening.
A draft tube runs inside the zipper to keep cold out, and loops (shown
by red arrow) can attach optional Kelty liners (liners not included).
Fatman ribbon drawstring can be pulled tight to reduce the
size of the face opening to about 4 inches diameter. On the Kelty
Light Year 3D 45 the neck drawstring is round and yellow. The hood
drawstring is flat and black. This allows easy identification of
each drawstring in the dark
A zippered vent with draftube at the bottom of the foot
section allows cooling ventilation to help make the Kelty Light Year 3D
45 more comfortable in warm climates.
The Kelty Light Year 3D 45 has four loops located on the
underside edges of the bag (shown by red arrows) which can be used to
secure the sleeping bag to an insulating sleeping pad.
