Point One 3-Way Inline Water Filter Features

The inline filter can be used three different ways.

  • Hydration Pack - By cutting the drink valve and inserting the filter inline, you can fill dirty water directly into your hydration pack reservoir and drink away. As long as your filter is in place you will not have to clean your reservoir.
  • Ultra-Light System - Use the inline filter with a drink tube for the lightest water filtration system available.
  • Faucet Adapter - When traveling overseas, just hook the filter up to the faucet with the included adapter. This filter can treat thousands of gallaons per day making it ideal for large groups of people.

Highest level of filtration available - 0.1 Micron Absolute

Sawyer® Water Filters use hollow fiber membrane filters. The Submicron Hollow Fiber Membrane found in this filter uses a cluster of micro-fibrous tubes. When the water is drawn through the membrane it flows through the side walls of the microfibrous tubes without any noticeable pressure drop. Pore sizes are so small that it mechanically removes sediment, bacteria, protozoa, cysts, viruses and other contaminants. This filter does not require the use of chemicals such as iodine or chlorine. All Sawyer® Water filters exceed EPA and NSF recommendations for removal rates.

Sawyer® water filters and purifers can be backwashed. So let's say that you take your filter on a 3 month trip with you.
