Specifications
Weights:
- Without batteries:
6.3 oz (179 gm)
- With 4 AA batteries (included):
9.8 oz (279 gm)
Batteries: 4 AA
Brightness Level: 60 Lumens
Burn Time : 150 hours
The (1) 3-Watt Maxbright LED is for spotting at long distances, while the 4 Ultrabright LEDs are for wide-beam proximity lighting.
Regulated LED: Regulated LEDs provide more light over a given time period than non-regulated LEDs. The Apex uses a sophisticated current-regulating circuit that maintains initial brightness as long as the batteries have sufficient voltage.
Battery Power Meter: The LED indicator below the Maxbright LED will burn green, yellow or red depending on the percentage of battery power left. Green indicates greater than 40% of battery capacity left, yellow at 40% and red when less than 20 minutes of run time is remaining.
Low Battery Signal: In addition to displaying red on the battery power meter, when there are appoximately 20 mintues of run time remaining the Apex will blink three times in rapid succession.
Angle adjustment: The housing can be adjusted to cast light forward or down (or any angle in between).
Dual Switch design : The Apex is controlled by an electronic switch at the bottom of the housing unit that provides four different light levels and a safety flash mode. The dual switches allow independent access to Maxbright and Ultrabright LEDs
Heatsink Technology: Princeton Tec has developed proprietary ultralight heatsinks to protect LED products from overheating. Even though LEDs operate at much lower temperatures than traditional incandescent bulbs, they still generate heat. If this heat is not dissipated, the LED will suffer irreversible damage. By using heatsinks, Princeton Tec lights can burn at extreme brightness levels for lon perios of time.
Hat band adjustment: The straps can be adjusted to accomodate a wide range of sizes for bare-heads or helmets.
Water Resistant: The Apex meets the degree of water protection equivalent to IPX7 in the International Electrotechnical Commision standards. It provides waterproof integrity down to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.
Warranty: Lifetime. Due to international regulations, Princeton Tec's lifetime warranty can only be offered to customers in the USA. Princeton Tec offers a 10 year warranty to customers outside the USA. The Apex is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship undernormal use for as long as you own this product. This warranty covers all of the component parts of the product except batteries. This warranty does not cover deterioration due to normal wear or damage due to misuse, alteration, negligence, accidents or unauthorized repair. Princeton Tec will repair or replace parts which are defective in workmanship or materials
