Once the number of L.E.D.'s has been selected, the user can dim or
flash the chosen L.E.D.'s. The dimming mode uses true current regulation,
so the L.E.D.'s will remain at constant brightness as long as the batteries
have suffcient voltage. Selecting the dim mode will produce 40 to 50
percent of the maximum light from the high mode, but will use as little
as 25 to 30 percent of battery power (depending on the batteries state
of charge) as the same number of L.E.D.s' on high.
LED life: The LEDs are rated for 10,000+ hours.
Angle adjustment: The LED housing can be adjusted to cast light forward
or down (or any angle in between).
On/off switch: The Corona is controlled by two buttons at the
top of the LED housing unit. Pressing the large of the two buttons lights
eight LED's on high power. Subsequent presses of the large button within
five seconds of the previous press will switch to five LED's, three
LED's one LED, and off. The Corona can only be turned on and off
with the large button. The smaller button is used to select between
high power, dim and flash modes.
Hat band adjustment: The top strap and side strap can both
be adjusted to accomodate a wide range of sizes for bare-heads or helmets
Water resistance: the battery housing is not completely
waterproof. Remove batteries to dry and clean contacts and housing.
Ensure that the housing is dry before, during and after each use. If
you completely submerge your headlamp, turn your lamp off and remove
the batteries and allow the housing to dry out.
Warranty: Lifetime. Warranted to be free from defects
in material and workmanship. Warranty does not cover bulbs and batteries.
Not warranted against normal wear and tear, improper use, or improper
maintenance. Princeton Tec will repair or replace parts which are defective
in workmanship or materials.
