The TacTikka XP offers a choice of 3 lighting
levels, maximum, optimum, and economy. There is also a flashing mode.
In the image above, the button on the right is the on/off switch which
is used to cycle through the 3 lighting levels and flashing mode. The
button on the left is the boost button, pressing and holding this button
produces about 50% more light than the maximum level. The boost may be
activated anytime, whether the lamp is off, flashing or set to one of
the three lighting levels. To avoid overheating the LED, boost level
drops to maximum after 20 seconds.

Red arrow in image above shows the movement
of the tiltable light body which enables the light beam to be directed
where needed. The blue arrow points to the battery life indicator. The
indicator starts working after 5 seconds after the lamp has been turned
on and does not work in boost mode. With fresh batteries, the indicator
blinks green. When they are used (about 70% discharged), it turns orange,
and then red when they need to be replaced (about 90% discharged).
