| The photo above shows a detailed view of the front closure
of the Outdoor Research Crocodiles Gaiters. The green arrow indicates
the lace hook (also shown in photo at right). The red arrow shows the
shear tab which folds over the bottom of the hook and loop front closure
to prevent it from separating at the bottom. |
|
In the photo above, the front closure and shear tab are
shown closed. The green arrow indicates where the lace hook has been
fastened to the bottom loop on the model's boot laces. This lace hook
helps to secure the front side of the Outdoor Research Crocodiles Gaiters
to the top of the user's boot. |

| After securing the front closure and lace hook, the urethane
coated nylon instep strap can be passed under the boot and attached
to the buckle on the outer edge of the Outdoor Research Crocodiles. |

The final step in fitting the Outdoor Research Crocodiles
is shown in the photo above. After securing the bottom of the gaiters,
fasten the nylon strap with a quick release buckle at the top of the
gaiters to keep them from sagging. |

One of the Outdoor Research Crocodiles is shown in the
photo above opened and layed flat with the inside surface facing up.
The boot section is constructed of 1000D Cordura lined with 8oz packcloth
for durability. The packcloth is sewn to the Cordura with the water

The photo at left shows a detailed view of the instep
strap buckle from the inside edge of the Outdoor Research Crocodiles.
The instep strap is shown detached from the buckle and placed to the
left of it, overlapping the material of the boot section. The urethane
coated nylon strap can be replaced in the field with no tools. This
is done by passing the tapered end of the strap (black arrow)
through the metal buckle (red arrow) until
it stops at the first rivot (blue arrow).
Then the other end of the strap with the rivots (orange arrow)
is tucked into the reinforced sleeve in the tab above the buckle (green arrow). |
