Osprey Stratos 24 : top view of elastic cord locks
Osprey Stratos 24 : view into hydration port and pass through opening to main compartment
At the top of the Osprey Stratos 24, there are two elastic cord locks (indicated by green arrows) which can be used to secure ice axes or trekking poles to the outside of the pack. Photo above shows the Osprey Stratos 24 viewed from the top of the backpanel above the shoulder straps. The Stratos has the option of mounting a hydration bladder (not included) either inside the main compartment, or between the mesh backpanel and the frame supports. The hydration tube port located at the top of the pack can be accessed through an opening into the main compartment on the back wall above the inner hydration bladder sleeve. This opening and port are shown in use in photo above.
Osprey Stratos 24 : side view
Osprey Stratos 24 : view from bottom of pack
Each side of the Osprey Stratos 24 features a stretch pocket which can be used to carry water bottles, etc.. Two compression straps at the top of the sides of the pack have quick release buckles and can be used to secure longer items like tent poles to the side of the Stratos. Photo above was taken from the bottom of the Osprey Stratos 24 and shows the 2 ice axe loops (green arrows) which compliment the elastic cord locks at the top of the pack (also shown in photo at top left). A hypalon patch at the bottom of the panel stretch pocket functions as a drain as well as an attachment point on the outside of the pack.
