Images below are of the pre-2010 model. The current
model has been slightly redesigned. The general features of the pre-2010
model below are similar to the current model.
Photos show the Osprey Meridian
22" with a 5'11" model.
The Meridian features a removable daypack
with contoured shoulder straps.
The Osprey Meridian features a convertible suspension
system which allows the pack to be carried or rolled. The top handle releases
with a push button and extends to two positions. The Meridian rolls
on oversized polyurethane wheels, and the retractable handle doubles
as a framestay. A contoured harness with load lifter straps and a
mesh backpanel stow behind a zippered panel when not in use. The Meridian
22" is shown in photo at left. The larger Meridian 28" has a slightly
different handle and suspension harness attachment due to its larger
size.

The Osprey Meridian 22 daypack has two side zippered
pockets and one large top padded pocket. A zippered panel pocket is
shown at right with model's hand inside, while the top pocket has
the other models hand down to the end of the interior of the pocket.
The top or side pockets are seperate and offer no way into the main
compartment of the day pack.

Photo at left shows the Osprey Meridian 22 with the
main compartment of the main bag open and the front panel folded down
in front of the pack. This can be done without removing the daypack
portion of the pack. The main compartment has a two strap internal
compression system to secure gear, and three zippered pockets inside
the main compartment which can be used to sort small items. Note the
large mesh pocket on the inside of the front panel (shown by red arrow).
