Wraptor™ Harness
Load stability when moving in a vertical environment

Benefits

1. Enables you to carry a medium load (up to 33 lbs) in comfort
2. Enables gymnastic movement while climbing
3. Promotes balance in uneven terrain
4. Gives you increased performance during your activity.

Wraptor™ theory The activity of alpine climbing presents unique challenges to harness design. An alpine harness must transfer significant load from the pack to the body while retaining flexibility for gymnastic manoeuvres. As well, alpinists often ascend technical ground without a hipbelt so as not to restrict access to equipment. The Wraptor™ harness meets these challenges giving alpinists new possibilities of performance.
Wraptor™ rods The Wraptor™ rods allow for variable load transfer from your pack to the front of your hips. By using the side adjustment straps on the hip fins you can tailor the amount of load transfer you require. This means on approach to alpine routes, when the load is at its greatest, you can tension the Wraptor™ rods for maximum load transfer. When on route with a lighter pack the tension can be released or the waistband can be undone and the Wraptor™ rods will retract the hip fins.
Hip-fins and Waistband Integrated with the Wraptor™ rods are the hip-fins and waistband. The thermo-moulded fins stretch around your hips to secure the load to your body. The Wraptor™ rods can then be adjusted within the fin by tensioning the side adjustment straps to control the load. The low profile waistband secures the pack without inhibiting access to climbing harnesses and racking systems.
Alloy Frame Light in weight and extremely rigid the alloy frame is the core of the Wraptor™ harness. The unique design delivers load stability and transfer while matching body shape. There is plenty of room for full head movement and the frame sits comfortably between major pelvic bone structures.
Shoulder pads and adjustment straps The shoulder pads and adjustment straps are designed to increase reach and promote load stability. Variable stiffness foam across the pad allows for greater shoulder flexibility when reaching high. The narrow lumbar-attachment of the adjustment straps ensures pack stability when the waistband is stowed on technical ground.
Thermo-formed back panel The low profile nature and specified construction of the thermo-formed back panel increases pack stability and reduces moisture absorption. As a result the sac is more stable on your back and any moisture from sweat or snow will either dry quickly or be brushed away.

Fabrics

Hypalon™ Chosen for its extreme abrasion and tear resistance, Hypalon™ is a fabric that is constructed from laminations of embossed polyurethane over an 80D nylon fabric. Hypalon™ provides the rugged durability required to protect your pack from sharp tools and rocks.
VX-42 X-Pac™ X-Pac™ fabric is constructed by laminating a mesh of polyester between a layer of 420D nylon fabric and a nylon. This creates an extremely tough fabric that is tear resistant, waterproof and very lightweight. VX-42 X-Pac™ has been chosen as it delivers the ideal balance between weight and durability
420D HT Nylon Light in weight and highly abrasion resistant, 420D HT nylon fabric is ideal when conservation of weight and durability are required. Constructed from a high tenacity, 420 denier nylon 6.6 fibre, the fabric is coated with layers of polyurethane to increase its strength and deliver a high degree of water resistance.
