The Hilleberg Rajd is an ultralight two person shelter
that can be set up with two optional tent poles, trekking poles, or
branches. The shelter could also be suspended from guy points at the
peak. The Rajd features adjustable ventilation options, and ultralight
Kerlon 1200 fabric throughout the shelter.

The photo at left shows the Hilleberg Rajd with one half
of the front overhang extended and both doors open. Two Therm-a-Rest
standard size sleeping pads are shown positioned at the foot of the shelter.
Both doors feature large mesh panels to increase ventilation, while still
being sheltered by the adjustable overhangs.

For truly ultralight travel, the Rajd can be set up without poles
of any sort. Rings on each corner of the ridge line allow the Rajd
to "hang" from guy lines (detail in the insert above).
The Rajd's innovative eaves design. Fully
deployed, it protects the no-see-um mesh panels in the doors from
rain (left). In warmer climes, rolling half of the eaves away affords
even more venting (middle). For max airflow, both sides can be completely
rolled away.
