And while it may look like an old school A-frame tent, it is anything but! Stable, easy to pitch, and fully capable of withstanding any kind of weather, the Muddus can be used as full tent, tarp, windbreak, solo shelter, or as a single part of a multi-tent group shelter. The Muddus is light enough to be carried by a single person, and since the main roof and vestibules are separate pieces, you can remove and/or combine other pieces to tailor a shelter to suit your exact needs. Hilleberg Muddus

Image above shows the 2005 Hilleberg Muddus base version.	Muddus inner tent
Image above shows the base version of the Muddus with an additional main roof as extension. Door on additional main roof is opened and made into an awning with extra poles.	Image above shows the same setup as in the picture at left but with the additional main roof door closed.
Base version of the Muddus without the inner tent. Trekking poles can be used instead of the regular tent poles for an even lighter setup.	Even the vestibules can be linked to create a very basic solo shelter.
