The Technology:
Lycra®: To retain shape, Bridgedale uses Lycra by DuPont. Lycra offers the best stretch and recovery. There are a lot of cheaper fibers out there, but they don't work as well. Lycra is critical to sock fit and to minimize sock movement, and therefore minimize blisters.
Merino Wool: The finest wool available. Merino is a light, soft wool which enables Bridgedale
to knit socks with excellent handle, guaranteeing no itch. In addition, Merino Wool
provides excellent thermal and moisture control properties.
ShockZones®: Bridgedale's unique advanced zonal padding system that provides
extra comfort, support and protection to various areas of the foot and leg.
WoolFusion®: Bridgedale's very own blend of the highest quality wool and the
latest technical fibres to offer high wicking, moisture management and thermal control.
