Thanks to its elliptic shaft, the pole has twice the fore and aft stiffness of round-shafted poles. For increased comfort, the Contour Elliptic features a 15-degree corrective angle, 360-degree padded webbing, and ergonomic ovalized foam grip. The pole's dual FlickLock ® adjustment is efficient and simple to operate even with gloves on...?in the dark...?in a rainstorm...?with 40-mph wind gusts. On the business end, the pole comes outfitted with Long Flex Tips and easy-to-swap-out trekking and powder baskets for year-round hiking versatility.
