Bergans QSS Carrying System
Anatomically shaped shoulder pads that follow that angle of your
shoulders are constructed with a soft foam against the shoulders
for comfort, then a harder foam and a plastic plate on top for an
evenly distributed transfer of weight.
Low Profile, patented torso length adjustment buckle, which allows
separate adjustment of the left and right shoulder straps.
The transfer of weight goes through shock absorbers, or dampeners,
which help reduce the impact load to your spine and knees when carrying
a heavy pack. The shock absorbers also make the anatomic internal
frame somewhat flexible allowing freedom in movement of the hips,
back and shoulders. This controlled flexibility provides improved
pack stability for the very active user.
The composite stays help bring the load as tight to your body as
possible improving stability. It also provides an optimal transfer
of weight from the pack bag to the overall carry system.
Adjustable sternum strap
Stabilizing straps from the top of the back panel to the shoulder
straps.
Stabilizing straps on the hipbelt improves stability by pulling
the pack closer to your body.
Three compression straps on either side to bring the load as close
to your back as possible.
Patented buckle allows adjustment of the shoulder strap mounts
for custom tailoring for an individual user's neck profile.
The conically shaped hip belt is constructed with a soft foam on
the inside against the body and a stiff, load transferring belt of
linked air-filled cylinders. This makes the hipbelt smooth and bendable
around the hip, but totally stiff in the load direction resulting
in an even distribution of weight across the entire pelvic area.
