The suspension system of the Arc'Teryx Bora 80 features a thermo-formed foam backpanel with ventilation channels, interchangeable unisex dual density shoulder straps, interchangeable unisex thermo-formed hipbelt, HDPE framesheet, 6061 aluminum stays and  load-transfer rods.

Lamination Technology Arc'teryx pioneered the technology of lamination construction to create leaner, more functional and durable garments. Instead of sewing, they glue in their pockets, zippers, collars, hems and cuffs.
Thermomoulded Hipbelts/Squashpods Arc'teryx invented a sculpted hipbelt that curves with the body's contours. Using thermomoulding construction techniques, hipbelts distribute weight evenly and comfortably, while Squashpods act as an extra layer of cushioning for added support.
Die Cut Hypalon Arc'teryx die cut extremely abrasion resistant Hypalon™ for increased durability and finish the process with rounded shapes and components that wear longer and are less likely to catch on sharp things.
Stitch Count Arc'teryx averages 14-16 stitches per linear inch vs. the industry standard of 8-10 stitches per inch. This unique high stitch count is used on all of Arc'teryx seams, providing a stronger, better quality seam.
